At
Great Lakes Safaris we conduct our tours with both a trained
guide and an independent driver who will cater for all your
requests and needs. We use mainly 4x4 vehicles that range
from Land Cruisers to Land Rovers and sometimes use-customized
omnibuses with plenty of legroom for comfort. In addition
to catering for the holiday lover, our team has capabilities
and experience in conducting and managing packages for professionals
like film crews on a more business like excursion.
We
also handle mountaineering expeditions, with a major focus
on the Rwenzori Mountains, which is one of the only two
mountains with Glaciers along the equator in the world that
is why we have a safaris called the Equator Glaciers (GLS4)
which lets you experience the phenomenon of snow in the
middle of the sweltering heat of Africa. . We are pleased
to provide information regarding our skilled guides prior

Safaris
in Lodges or Hotels
Our prices are set to suit clients intending to get satisfactory
services and vary depending on the number of people on the
same Safaris.
The
prices include all ground transportation, game drives, park
entrance fees, chimp trekking permits, boat launches, ranger
fees. The prices DO NOT include items of personal effects,
bar bills, tips, personal insurance, air charters, gorilla
permits and laundry.
Gorilla Tracking
Gorilla permit costs USD 500 each if booked three months
in advance from Uganda Wild life Authority.
Permits
however can be acquired at shorter notice at slightly higher
fee due costs incurred at purchasing them from a third party.
This could raise the price higher.
