January 2005
Scott Wallmann, UK

"I wanted to write to tell you how much I enjoyed the trip I took with you at the beginning of the year. Seeing Gorillas in the wild was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life, and one which I shall never forget. More over I was extremely impressed with the care, professionalism, and dedication of yourself, Gerald, and all others involved in making this such a memorable trip.

I am very intent on returning to see more of Uganda in the future, and will certainly contact you if I do. I will also not hesitate to recommend Great Lakes to any friends, family, and colleagues thinking of taking a trip to Uganda. Many thanks once again, and best wishes for 2005 from cold wet London."

Gorilla Safari
September 2004
Karin and Joseph, Austria

"We arrived safely in Austria, full of impressions and happy memories. This was a very good trip. All people involved took good care of us.
It started with you Jaynefer, as you responded to our inquiry in a very efficient way. Communication with you could not be better. Martin is a very sensitive guide and his driving skills are excellent. Also his knowlege of animals and birds surprised us. He was our "angel" on this trip taking care of so many things (drinking water supply, etc. etc.) He always knew what we wanted.
All in all we want to thank you, Amos and Martin for making this journey a dream that came true. The emotional highlight was the gorilla tracking. When you sit there and watch them you know that you are privileged. You do a great job!"

Italian version
Grazie ancora!"

English version
"If we had not found "Great Lakes Safaris" we would probably have never managed to visit Uganda.
For a long time we wanted to visit Uganda, however only a few Tour Operators organise trips to Uganda from Italy and most of all they are all very expensive.
We had almost given up hope of ever going when one day while surfing Internet we came across the "Great Lakes Safaris " website. We made contact with them and immediately established a direct line with a very efficient Jaynefer who in a very short time organised a personalised trip for us at a very reasonable price. So off we went to Uganda.
When we arrived at Kampala, a part from meeting Jaynefer, we also met Amos, the Managing Director of the agency, his collaborator Amy and Robert our guide for the next 15 days. Robert proved to be not only a very well prepared guide, a punctual and prudent driver, a trustworthy and discreet friend and even much more. Thanks to them all, our trip was perfect, well organised without the slightest hitch.
Even if we have already visited several other African countries we were extremely surprised both by the sheer beauty and variety of the country and its people. Uganda is very beautiful and Ugandan people are very friendly. Not withstanding what still occurs and what happened up to a short time ago in that country, and in the neighbouring countries, we felt no tension and everyone contributed to make our holiday really peaceful and pleasant.
Meeting the Gorillas (and the chimpanzees) was e very emotional and unforgettable experience: it was difficult to reach them, but so worth while!
However, Uganda is not only this: there are parks full of many species of birds and animals situated in wonderful environments (probably in years to come these will be among the more heavily populated African parks). Moreover there are lakes, waterfalls and most of all the Ugandan people who still remain uncontaminated by negative tourism.
We are doing everything possible to encourage our Italian friends and associates to go to visit Uganda with "Great Lakes Safaris" (a serious and cut-price tourist company). Uganda is beautiful but most of all to go there with Jaynefer, Amos, Amy, and to be driven by Robert is quite a different story! Thanks again!"

"We have just come back to Poland. The journey was excellent. Robert was the best: very professional, responsible, agreeable, pleasant, likable and was very careful about us during our safari. I recommend him to all of your clients.

The program of our safari was very ok and we think that Uganda is so far the best place of visits - not so many tourists, a lot of animals, local people very friendly, country very safe, so we liked it very much. Rafting will never be forgotten be me - big challenge and experience.
Thank you once again for super adventure and if somebody from our friends wants to go to Uganda, I will them your address for sure."
