"Just a quick email to thank Great Lakes for a wonderful time at Murchison Falls. Our guide Gerald took excellent care of us and was professional and considerate to our needs at all times. Always smiling and very thoughtful... (supplied us with lots of juicy pineapples in the sweltering heat!). Thank you once again.

"I just wanted to let you know that I have been extremely satisfied with the service and professionalism of the people who attended our needs. Angel responds immedately and concise. She even ensured in the early morning that my hotel would wake me up for the rafting trip. Her services have been to the highest standard. Also Noel has been very professional and always found solutions in difficult situations.
Again, very impressive and all very well handled. I shall recommend Great Lakes wholeheartedly to anyone who asks."

"My relatives and I went on safari in Uganda with Great Lakes Safaris and we all went back home with plenty of unforgettable memories. The reason for our trip to Uganda was rather unusual: my husband is Ugandan and we came to Uganda to celebrate our wedding with his relatives. Eight members of my familiy decided to join us and that's how the idea of going on a safari started.

I organised the trip for the group and I found the staff at Great Lakes Safaris to be very efficient, friendly and anxious to offer a good service. This is actually something recurrent in Uganda: all the Ugandan people we met seemed genuinely nice, polite and happy to help.
We visited three national parks (Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth), which all had their own highlights. Murchison Falls is the only park in Uganda where you can see giraffes and the landscapes are spectacular. Kibale National Park is home to chimpanzees which you can see going on about their day to day life in the heart of the forest. As for Queen Elizabeth National Park, it boasts a great variety of animals and the view from our lodge (Katara Lodge) was simply breathtaking. The two boat trips (on the Nile in Murchison FAlls and on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth) were also very interesting and we were once again able to see a great variety of animals, including many hippos.

The guides, Richard and Noel, were also largely responsible for the success of our trip. They were always ready to answer our many questions, and they are knowledgeable and very respectful of the animals and the environment. They are also very good drivers and we always felt very safe, which is very important as the roads can be treacherous and dangerous."

"It has been a few days now back in windy and rainy Estonia but I wanted to thank you and Richard for a very memorable trip we had in Uganda! Seeing gorillas so close was one of the best experiences ever despite it was physically quite hard. The best hotel was the Haven with all the surroundings and foot etc.
Thanks again and best regards to Richard from us."

"We thank you very much for the very nice journey. It was perfect. We are very hapy about our visit in Uganda. And Isaak was a very friendly man and a very good guide. We hope you will have always a good and healthy time and many tourist people. Please send Isaak many wishes from us."

"We're back from Africa and I just wanted to thank GLS for a wonderful safari. We really enjoyed our gorilla trek and saw 4 babies! This was truly the highlight of our trip. However, our real surprise was the Ugandan people. Everyone we met was very helpful and kind. And clearly, Ugandan children are the happiest in the world. Our guide, Nasser, was excellent and he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We especially enjoyed eating at Ugandan restaurants.

As for yourself, thank you very much for all your help during the booking process and setting up our safari. Your kindness and patience with all our questions was much appreciated.
Now for us, its back to work, but we're thinking seriously of returning and seeing more of Uganda. So don't be surprised if you hear from us again, as we'd really like to visit Mgahinga and the Rwenzoris!"

"My wife and I finished a three week safari in early August. It was absolutely excellent, thanks. Beki was a wonderful guide and when we return to Uganda will want to meet up with him again."

"Back home safely, thank you very much for all the splendid organisation you have done for us. We have enjoyed our time in Uganda immensely, Petrus was a wonderful companion, a perfect choice! It was one of those very rare trips where we can not think of anything that was unpleasant or did not go as expected (roads notwithstanding, but that was expected :)).
Thank you once again, and please pass our thanks and greetings to Petrus. While it can never be a definite promise, I think it is rather likely that we will be back sometime."

"Primate Lodge was absolutely fantastic! Facilities and accommodation faultless! Driver: very knowledgeable and always made sure we got the best out of the 5 days. Couldn’t have improved anything! Every activity was fantastic, once in a lifetime! Game drive and chimp tracking were unbelievable! Boat trip was amazing as was the whole safari, we wish we’d had longer. The company was very patient with us while we were booking the trip and made sure we got all the right info before coming to Uganda. We will definitely be back.

Thanks to GLS and especially Richard for an unforgettable 5 days."
