"We returned from Uganda last week
after a wonderful holiday. We had high expectations of 'the
holiday of a lifetime' but even they were exceeded! The places
that we visited were all, in their different ways, fantastic
and I certainly wouldn't miss any of them out.
As far as security is concerned
we didn't have a moment's concern. We had a 'free' day in
Kampala and felt very comfortable walking around the city
- no one bothered us at all. When travelling in the rural
areas we found people welcoming and curious. We had, as suggested
by Great Lakes, a plentiful supply of pencils for the children
which went down very well. The other prized posession was
an empty water bottle!
As far as the company is concerned I cannot recommend them
highly enough. They responded promptly to e-mails when we
were planning and did everything as promised when we arrived.
The office staff were welcoming and no 'extras' to pay for
were slipped in. Our driver, Noel, was very knowledgeable,
extremely friendly and competent and anxious that we should
see the best of Uganda.

"We are back in the States and I
just wanted to thank you again for all that you did in setting
up our safari. We had a wonderful time! The Masindi Hotel
had the BEST food and the Paraa Lodge had the BEST view!
Words can't even begin to express what a great driver and
guide David was! He was professional and attentive at all
times and as flexible as possible. We had a great time with
him and missed him greatly when we continued our journey with
Sr. Immaculate. It was fun because when we took the kids to
whitewater raft in Jinja, there was David again! It was like
running into an old friend.
Anyway, I will highly recommend your company in general, and
David in particular to anyone who is planning a vacation in
Uganda. Thank you!"

"Onze vakantie was in één
woord fantastisch van het prille begin tot aan het einde.
Paul was ook geweldig vooral omdat je met z'n drietjes bent
(zo voelde het voor ons) heb je natuurlijk toch een ander
contact met je gids/chauffeur. Het liep gewoon allemaal vanzelf,
althans zo hebben wij het ervaren.
Als ik nog eens zou gaan (over tien jaar als we weer wat gespaard
hebben) dan zou ik rustig iets boeken met accommodatie vergelijkbaar
met Red Chilli en dan een keer Mweya Safari Lodge tussendoor
om je even te baden in luxe.
Ik kan niet niet anders zeggen dat alles prima naar wens was.
Nog bedankt voor alle hulp!"
"Our holiday was in one word fantastic,
from the very beginning till the end. Also Paul was great,
especially because you are with only three people (that's
how we felt it) you have a different type of contact with
the driver/guide. It just runned naturally smoothly, that's
how we experienced it.
If I would go again (in 10 years when we have saved
some money again) I would definitely book accommodations similar
to Red Chilli and sometimes with Mweya Safari Lodge to be
surrounded by luxury for a while.
I can not say anything else than that everything was well
organized. Thank you for your help!"

"Todo salio muy bien y
según lo previsto. Con los gorilas muy bien porque
no tuvimos que andar demasiado y vimos a muchos, muy de cerca
y en una zona bastante soleada. Los chimpancés no tienen
nada que envidiar a los gorilas, el entorno es fantástico
(parece de la película de Tarzan). Los pudimos ver
andando, corriendo, gritando. La verdad es que fue bastante
emocionante. Nos gusto mucho Parque Nacional Queen Elizabeth;
muy grande y pudimos ver leones y muchos, muchos hipopótamos.
¡El guía Gerald estuvo fantástico en todo
momento, siempre puntual, incluso pinchando por los caminos!
Dale las gracias por adaptarse tan bien a nuesto nivel de
ingles, fue capaz de explicarnos todo lo que le preguntábamos.
¡La verdad es que estuvo estupendo!"

version:
"Everything went very well and how we had planned. Especially
with the gorillas it was great, because we did not have to
walk too long and we saw many of them, from a very close distance
and in a quite sunny area. The chimpanzees don't have any
reason to envy the gorillas; the surrounding was fantastic
(it looked like the forest from the movie Tarzan). We could
see them walking, running, climbing, shouting. It was truly
a thrilling experience. We also liked Queen Elizabeth National
Park; a wide area where we saw lions and many, many hippos.
The guide Gerald was fantastic at every moment of the trip,
always keeping time and navigating well on the roads! We are
thankful for adapting to our level of English so well and
he was capable to explain us everything that we asked. He
was truly wonderful!"
