In November 2007, Uganda hosted
the Commonwealth of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which was attended
by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and over 4000 other international
delegates. This prominent event contributed to a significant
expansion of accommodation facilities in the direct surroundings
of the capital city. World-class hotel chains such as Serena,
Protea Hotels and Sheraton are already represented in Uganda
and from September 2010 the latest addition of the Hilton
hotels will be opened in Kampala.
The exquisite selection of
conference venues boasts excellent facilities. Closed meeting
can be held in modern board rooms, while spacious auditoriums
cater for large groups up to 1,500 delegates. Conference equipment
such as PA systems, LCD projectors and white boards, as well
